Native SQL log backup

Hello,

I'm wondering if I can take SQL native log backup every 15mins in addition to DPM backups.  We're using DPM for both databases (daily) and logs (every 15min).  Will it break anything in DPM if I take log backup separately and we won't be able to restore database point it time?
