Environment:
Windows 2003 2 node SQL 2005 cluster.
Data Protection Manger 2012
When running the nightly backup on this cluster 1 node consistently spams the event log (170 instances within 3 min last night alone) with an error 55. The error listed below usually references a HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy* where * represents a number that:
1) changes every night
2) doesn't exist on any of the nodes or dpm server for a volume shadow copy
The error also only occurs when I do a bulk backup. If I individually backup each element (System State / all individual sql databases) the error does not occur. It is a bit perplexing. While I believe its safe to ignore the error, it is quite irritating and I hate not knowing what is causing a problem. Any help would be appreciated.
