I'm trying to restore a database from DPM 2012 R2 (including the latest rollup 3) to a machine with the latest 4.2.1254.0 version of the RA but consistently get the following error.
The VSS application writer or the VSS provider is in a bad state. Either it was already in a bad state or it entered a bad state during the current operation.
Running vssadmin list writers on the destination machine and the backup server shows no errors on either. What is the error referring to?
