Is it a supported scenario to protect a SQL Server database installed on Windows 10?
It seems to work...
I have simply installed the agent just like I would do if this was a SQL Server on Windows Server.
But there is an odd notification in the systray: "Administrator has not configured backups". And the recovery points frequently take a very long time. They do however complete. And the Windows 10 virtual machine has a very high workload doing other stuff.
I noticed this because I wanted to set up a performance monitor log on the Windows 10 machine to figure out why recovery points are so slow. Here I expected to have to include the DPMRA.exe process, but it was not there. Instead three different DPMClient* processes were there.
DPM Administrator Console reports agent status as OK.
DPM is 2016 (5.0.342.0)
SQL Server is 2014 (12.1.4100.1)
