DPM 2012 R2 - SQL (Auto) error trying to backup deleted databases

New install running DPM 2012 R2 (4.2.1338) against a specific 2012 server running SQL 2012 SP1.

This SQL server has a number of databases and the DPM Protection Group for this server is set to 'All SQL Servers (Auto)'.  Everything was working fine, until some of the Test DB's were (properly) deleted from the SQL server.

Now, I'm getting 'Recovery point creation failed' errors for those DB's that were deleted. Performing a consistency check on those deleted DB's gives a 'Replica is inconsistent' error.  Specifically, database is not available error 0x80990d15. The existing DB's are backing up without error, as expected.

In the past, the Auto setting would add/remove DB's to the Protection Group as they were created and deleted.

If I look at modifying the Protection Group, those Temp DB's are not present to select, so DPM no longer sees them, again as expected.

Any suggestions on how I can clear these non-existent DB's from DPM and more importantly, why is DPM not removing these replicas for DB's that no longer exist?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
